dummy

Sometimes, boys are so dumb, it hurts my head (and my heart).

my mom is better than your mom

Today is my mom's birthday, and this is what I'd like the world wide web to know about her: she is simply amazing. It's no exaggeration to say she is one of the most incredible people I've ever met, and easily one of my favorite people in the world. Even if I weren't related to her, I would still want to hang out with her. She is good when others won't be and positive when others can't be. She is smarter than she thinks she is and tougher than she looks. Life hands her lemons and she makes lemonade, and if the lemonade doesn't sell, she'll reinvent it and herself. And all the while, she makes other people feel good. Needless to say, I don't just love her, I like her and admire her. Happy Birthday, Mom.

beyond belief

Elvis IS King.

Seriously, folks, if you're going to wait for years to see one of your heroes live, let it be not just as good as, but better than you expected. Let "live" blow the roof off Memorex, so much so that songs you never got that excited about before suddenly become transcendent. Let him surprise you with songs you never thought you'd hear live, and songs you've never heard at all. Let him throw his head back and wail with such passion and power that you get goosebumps. Let him keep coming back on stage when you think it must be over by now because you can't be this lucky, let him play on when you think "surely he'll end with this one", let 3 hours go by and don't even think about leaving your seat for a bathroom break because you don't want to miss a moment of this incredible show. And better yet, surround yourself with hundreds of like-minded folk who make you giggle giddily when they shout out their appreciation, because you feel it too, and by all means, go with a good friend who understands just what you're going on about here.

That's the way to do it.

confidence man

What's needed here is passion. The still assurance and quiet confidence that says "this is mine" and claims it. No question, no argument, no hesitation. Give me that.
